MOSCOW, February 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - According to the latest information bodies of 18 people, who became victims of the tragedy in Transvaal aqua-park caused by collapsed roof, have been identified, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov said after inspecting the scene of the tragedy.
According to him, 25 people were killed and one died in a hospital.
"All in all, 78 people are hospitalized at present," Mr. Luzhkov said. Five of the hospitalized are in severe condition, 13 - in grave condition, and others are in the poor and satisfactory conditions, the Mayor said.
According to him, among the hospitalized are 21 males, 30 females and 27 children.
The roof collapsed on Saturday night at the recreation facility Transvaal-park. According to various estimations, 500-1,000 people were in the aqua-park at the time of the tragedy.
