MOSCOW, February 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The rescuers will need two days to clean up the debris in Transvaal aqua-park, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov believes.

"The work is very intensive and we have ample units of machinery and equipment," the Moscow Mayor told journalists.

According to him, half of the area has already been cleaned. "There are a lot of concrete roof elements in the upper half of the area. The works are not conducted in the places under the overhanging concrete elements. We will continue in the morning," Mr. Luzhkov said.

"According to my estimations, it would take two days in order to finally clean up the debris. Approximately one third of the debris is unsafe for rescuers to deal with. It is necessary to get rid of the roof elements, which overhang the debris area," the Mayor said.
