MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russian presidential hopeful Ivan Rybkin has sent a letter to the Interior Ministry's Moscow department to explain that his five-day absence was not caused by any criminal act against him, department spokesman Kirill Mazurin told RIA Novosti. The investigation, launched at his wife's request, will now be closed, he added.
Rybkin disappeared from Moscow on February 5 and did not reappear until February 10. He says he was staying in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev all that time.
