MOSCOW, February 7 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Azerbaijan can set an example of good-neighborly relations, Azeri President Ilkham Aliyev told a press conference following his official visit to Moscow.
We have overcome all our contradictions, he stressed. Aliyev pointed out to Russian-Azeri deep interaction in many spheres, including global policy issues.
The Azeri President highly assessed the results of his first official visit to Russia. The sides confirmed their striving for cooperation development, he noted.
In particular, we plan to double mutual trade turnover and we shall achieve this goal, Ilkham Aliyev said.
In addition, he highly estimated Russian-Azeri counter terrorist cooperation and cooperation between Russian and Azeri law enforcers.
We are willing to develop military-technical cooperation and shall take practical moves in this sphere, Ilkham Aliyev added.
