ITALY'S FOREIGN MINISTER TO COME TO MOSCOW, PREPARE GROUNDS FOR PRIME-MINISTERIAL VISIT

ROME, JANUARY 22 (RIA Novosti correspondent Igor Pushkarsky) - Franco Frattini, Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Moscow, February 5-6, reports the ministerial press centre.

Signor Frattini and Igor Ivanov, his Russian counterpart, will discuss preparations for a routine visit Silvio Berlusconi, Italy's Prime Minister, will pay to Russia, next May.

The foreign affairs committee of the State Duma, Russia's lower parliamentary house, has invited Franco Frattini to attend a committee session, with the media welcome, Konstantin Kosachev, committee head, said to a news conference in Moscow, Tuesday last. "We offered the Duma rostrum to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for contacts with foreign visitors. The Italian Foreign Minister will be our first guest."
