ROME, January 22, 2004. /RIA Novosti correspondent Igor Pushkarsky/. Cardinal Walter Kasper is to visit Moscow on February 16-20, Vatican's press service told RIA Novosti.
Vatican regards this visit as a sign of thaw in Orthodox-Catholic relations.
According to Vatican's press secretary Navarro Valls, Cardinal Walter Kasper is scheduled to meet with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II and other Orthodox hierarchs.
The cardinal will also meet with Catholics living in Moscow.
