MOSCOW, JANUARY 21, 2004, RIA NOVOSTI - Russia's stance at the International Court of Justice on Israel's security barrier will proceed from the interests of promoting a peace solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov told a Moscow press conference following talks with his visiting Palestinian counterpart, Nabil Shaath.
According to Mr. Ivanov, the Russian leadership has always been against unilateral actions in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and believes that Israel's security barrier will undermine the Road Map plan and the Mideastern peace process at large.
