MOSCOW, January 19, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russia's President Vladimir Putin forwarded a written message to President Ali Abdallah Salih of Yemen, reports the Kremlin press service.
President Putin highlights with satisfaction an increasing dynamism of all-round bilateral contacts. He makes special emphasis on Russian interest in preserving the present pace of such contacts. The President calls to step up team efforts for closer links in many fields.
He points out the two countries' shared or close stances on key issues of the day. Such stances promote a greater scope of bilateral partnership on the international scene, he remarks.
Russia regards Yemen as an essential and reliable partner, and is eager to make cooperation closer in all spheres of mutual interest, stresses Mr Putin.
