MOSCOW, JANUARY 19, 2003. /RIA NOVOSTI/ -- On Monday Gazprom chief Alexey Miller and Alexey Gutseridze, president of the International Gas Corporation of Georgia, discussed the matter of gas supplies to Georgia.

Sergey Kuprianov, press secretary of the chairman of the board of Gazprom, said that, if the ITERA group of companies fails to meet its commitments to supply gas to consumers in Georgia, Gazprom will be forced to undertake fulfilment of the contracts.

Meanwhile, a source in Gazprom told RIA Novosti that "it will be problematic for Gazprom to find additional gas available for shipments to Georgia."
