MADRID, JANUARY 5. /RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT JUAN KOBO/ -- Now on a working visit in Spain, Russian Audit Chamber chairman Sergei Stepashin, coming to Madrid as the president of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions, held talks on Monday with EUROSAI Secretary General Neto de Alba, chairman of the Spanish Audit Chamber.
At the meeting they discussed EUROSAI's participation in the activities of the working group of the International Orgnisation of Supreme Audit Institutions in combating international money laundering. The body was established by the world audit community in the outgoing year on the initiative of the Russian Audit Chamber.
Participants also considered the course of realisation of decision of the EUROSAI governing council's 27th session in Rome last autumn, including preparations for publishing the book on the state and the future of financial audit in Europe. The book will sum up results of the EUROSAI's work over the last 15 years since its emergence. EUROSAI unites the leading organs of state audit of 45 countries of Europe.
