Putin, Abe to Meet September 2 in Russia
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his counterparts from Argentina and Turkey on the sidelines of the G20 summit in China on Saturday, September 3, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said Tuesday.

“Two bilateral meetings are under consideration upon arrival to China. The first is with the president of the Argentine republic, Mauricio Macri. Note that this if the first meeting between the Argentinian and Russian leaders after Macri’s election. Afterward there will be a no less interesting, and perhaps more interesting, contact – a conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan,” Ushakov told reporters.

Ushakov noted that Moscow-Ankara relations are improving rapidly since last fall's jet downing with the latest resumption of charter flights.

Erdogan paid a reconciliatory visit to St. Petersburg on August 9 to restart bilateral ties after the downing of Russia’s Su-24 in November 2015 effectively froze bilateral ties.
