Travel Agencies in China Offer Refunds for Trips to Nice
Travel agencies in China offer refunds for trips to Nice and warn tourists to avoid crowded areas, following the deadly truck attack in the French city, media reported Friday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Shanghai Daily newspaper, popular travel operators in China offer full refund for tourists who want to cancel their trips to southern France, starting from July 15.
The media noted that travel agencies also asked Chinese tourists in France to avoid areas with big crowds and follow the arrangement of tour guides.
On Thursday evening, a truck rammed into a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks in the southern French city of Nice, killing at least 84 people, with 18 more fighting for their lives.
France has extended by three months the state of emergency, which was due to expire on July 26. The nation has been on high alert after gun and bomb attacks in Paris left 130 people dead and hundreds injured.
