BANGKOK (Sputnik) — Four brothers Chearavanont, namely Jaran, Montri, Sumet and Dhanin who are owners of the conglomerate Charoen Pokphand (CP) group, the largest Thai investor in Russia, have a fortune of $18.5 billion which put them in the leading position on the Thailand's 50 Richest list published by Forbes Magazine.
Agribusiness CP Group is one of the most successful groups of companies in Thailand and extensively invests abroad. In Russia, the conglomerate has several investment projects, including the full cycle meat processing plant and a poultry farm. In China, the CP Group is the sole largest foreign investor.
The second place on the Forbes list in Thailand was occupied by Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, the owner of the company Thai Beverage Public Company LTD and the third one by Chirathivat family, the owners of the chain Big C Supercenter Vietnam.
