MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent telegrams expressing his condolences to French President Francois Hollande and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi over the disappearance of the EgyptAir passenger plane over the Mediterranean Sea, the Kremlin’s press service said Thursday.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent telegrams of condolences to French President F.Hollande and Egyptian President A.Sisi in regard to the crash of the passenger plane over the Mediterranean Sea flying from Paris to Cairo,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
EgyptAir Flight MS804 departed from the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 23:09 GMT. The aircraft was heading for Cairo International Airport. According to the airline, there were a total of 66 people on board the plane, including 56 passengers.
