Moscow does not favor any third state`s interference in Russian-japanese bilateral relations, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow believes it is important to free relations with Japan from the influence of foreign factors and agree on projects in the economic sphere, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said.

“As a whole, our position is that Russian-Japanese relations need to be freed as soon as possible from foreign factors and artificial stratifications, and to begin perspective agreements and projects in key areas in the economy and increase mutual actions in international affairs,” Morgulov told RIA Novosti.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Tokyo in mid-April in preparations for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Russia. The date of Abe’s visit has not yet been disclosed.
