MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The international news agency Sputnik has signed a cooperation agreement with Kyodo News, the largest Japanese news agency.

Sputnik Ramps Up in Asian and European Regions

The two news agencies plan to run joint projects aimed at developing the media scene in Russia and Japan. The cooperation deal also envisages information exchanges on a broad range of topics and joint events.

Kyodo News was founded in November 1945. The overwhelming majority of Japanese and a number of foreign media outlets are among the agency’s subscribers. In addition to text news, the agency also produces photos, infographics, and audio and video content. Kyodo News provides news in Japanese, English and Chinese.
