HAVANA (Sputnik) – Patriarch Kirill of Moscow said Friday he has big hopes for his meeting with Pope Francis.
"I have big hopes for my upcoming meeting with Pope Francis," the Russian Orthodox Church head said during a meeting with Cuban leader Raul Castro.
The historic meeting between the two church leaders is set to take place in Havana, Cuba later in the day. It is the first of its kind since Christianity split into Western and Eastern branches in 1054.
