KIEV (Sputnik) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will attend the upcoming Munich Security Conference and hold bilateral meetings with the head of NATO and the leadership of the European Commission, the president’s press service announced Thursday.
“Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will make an official visit to Germany (the city of Munich) on February 12-23 to participate in the 52nd Munich Conference on security issues,” the press service said.
Bilateral meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, European Parliament President Martin Schulz, and many other officials are also planned during Poroshenko's visit, according to the presidential press service.
“In particular, [there will be bilateral meetings] with the presidents of Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, the president of the EU Parliament, NATO Secretary General, and the leadership of the European Commission,” the press service said.
