Kremlin officials have not seen a BBC program on a hypothetical military conflict between Russia and NATO, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) The show titled World War Three: Inside the War Room was premiered on BBC Two channel on Wednesday. The program explores a hypothetical WWIII scenario, where Russia invades Latvia after Russian nationalists rise up over their lack of self-determination in Latvia. Russia then launches a nuclear strike on the British military.

"Unfortunately, our colleagues from the BBC have been putting out low-quality content as of late, so we are in no a rush to familiarize ourselves with it," Peskov said, answering a question regarding the program.

When asked whether the Kremlin was paying less attention to BBC shows, Peskov said it was a shame to waste one’s time on "trash."

Russian Ambassador to Latvia Alexander Veshnyakov called the new BBC program a "dangerous provocation."

This is not the first provocative program broadcast by the British broadcaster recently.

Last week, the BBC aired a documentary in which Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Adam Szubin claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was corrupt and that the US government was aware of this for "many, many years." In the same program, the British broadcaster cited insiders as alleging that Putin owned a $35-milllion yacht.
