Italy Mulls Expanding Anti-ISIL Mission in Iraq
ROME (Sputnik) On Tuesday, US Secretary of State John Kerry called on member states of the international coalition to boost their efforts against the Daesh militant group in Iraq and Syria during talks in the Italian capital of Rome.

Pinotti was cited by La7 TV Channel as saying that the decision about the deployment was expected to be made on Friday.

She added that the main task of the contingent would be to provide medical assistance to those wounded during warfare.

The US-led international coalition of 66 countries has been fighting against Daesh, which is outlawed in many countries, including in the United States and Russia, since 2014.
