MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Emergency services responded to reports of the man suffering wounds after a "confrontation during which a police firearm was discharged."

"A critical incident investigation has been launched following the death of a man during a confrontation with police at a north-west Sydney police station," NSW police said.
No officers have been reported injured.
National media outlets cited a relative of a Quakers Hill station employee as saying a man allegedly walked into the station and threatened officers with a knife before being fatally shot.
