WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States is urging its European partners to implement an agreement on sharing passenger information between airlines to stop terrorists from entering the West, US President Barack Obama said during a joint press conference with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday.
“I am calling on the European Union to finally implement the agreement that’s been long in the works that would require airlines to share passenger information so we can do more to stop foreign terrorist fighters from entering our countries undetected,” Obama said.
Obama added that Washington was prepared to send teams of experts to work with its European partners on this joint effort.
