The interview came as Russian President Vladimir Putin sat down for talks with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani in the framework of Putin's current visit to Tehran.
Tazmini has expressed hope that the two countries would continue to boost ties in many sectors of mutual interest.
"Most importantly, there would be coordination on an array of strategic issues, including those related to the aerospace field and the Syrian conflict," she said.
Separately, Tazmini focused on Tehran's role in combating the Islamic State.
"Iran has been at war with ISIL and jihadist forces for many years," she said, adding that Tehran "is already fighting Islamic State militants on the ground."
Tazmini stressed that that other countries should also contribute to destroying ISIL and that the issue should be resolved on a global level.
During the talks, the two leaders discussed the Syrian issue and anti-terrorism measures, and agreed to unite and coordinate their efforts on both issues.
They also agreed to boost bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and to develop a number of joint energy projects, including those involving the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
