CAIRO (Sputnik) — Investigators have found no signs of explosives impact on discovered bodies of the victims of the Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt that killed all 224 people on board, a source close to investigation said Tuesday.
"No signs of explosives impact on bodies of the victims have been found," the source said.
On Monday, a source familiar with the plane crash investigation said no traces of explosive substances had been discovered on the debris of Airbus A321.
Earlier reports by media and researchers suggested that the plane crash might have been a result of an onboard explosive device.
On October 31, an Airbus A321, operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia, crashed in the Sinai Peninsula while flying from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg.
The tragedy is the largest civil aviation disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
