MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Information that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met with Iran’s Supreme leader, Ali Khamenie, to discuss the situation in Syria is “complete rubbish” and a red herring, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.
“Information of alleged meetings between Lavrov and Khameini to discuss operations in Syria is simply not true and complete rubbish. This is obviously another information red herring,” Zakharova said.
