MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A group of Russian specialists will carry out an examination of military activities on the Slovakia’s proving grounds between September 21 and 24, the acting head of the Russia’s National Nuclear Risk Reduction Center said Monday.
"During the period between September 21 and 24 of this year, a group of Russian inspectors is planning to conduct inspections of a specified area on the territory of Slovakia under the Vienna Document 2011 on Confidence and Security-Building Measures," Ruslan Shishin said.
The specialists will be obtaining updates on military activities in the area, including on the ongoing Slovak Shield NATO military exercise, according to Shishin.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) member countries signed the Vienna Document in 2011 to conduct annual exchange of military information concerning forces deployed in Europe.
