MOSCOW (Sputnik) — North Korea’s national female choir Chongbong has two performances planned in Moscow in the upcoming days as part of Pyongyang’s bid to boost cultural ties with Russia, the Korean Embassy told Sputnik on Saturday.
The all-female band landed in the Russian capital on Friday. It will perform at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the home of the capital's oldest symphony orchestra, on Monday and at the Moskvich cultural center on Tuesday.
The Monday concert will be attended by the North Korean Ambassador to Russia, Kim Hyun Joong, according to the Embassy.
The Embassy spokesperson said the visit was aimed at promoting cultural relations between the two neighbor countries and strengthening bilateral friendship.
