BEIJING (Sputnik) – Over 20 documents on economy and regional cooperation will be discussed during Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Beijing, slated for early September, Russia's Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov said.
"As always, a hefty package of documents is prepared. There are 22 documents on the list," Denisov told reporters.
"No one knows yet whether documents on the western [gas delivery] route will be signed. You can see for yourself the situation on the oil market, and gas prices are linked to oil. The parties said earlier this year that the signing would take place during one of the meetings. If it is signed, that would be a gift. If not, we will continue to work," he added.
Putin is set to visit China on September 2-3, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, to attend celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
