The Group of Seven (G7) leaders agreed to complete key negotiations on the controversial free trade deal between the European Union and the United State by the end of the year during a summit in Bavaria, Germany, according to a draft of a summit communique shown to DPA.

ELMAU (Sputnik) The details of the secretive Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) are needed to be finalized by the end of the year as ground work on talks' acceleration will start immediately, the draft said

The communique is expected to be announced at the final press conference by German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday afternoon.

The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries discussed issues affecting global security, economy, foreign policy and climate change during the two-day 41st summit of the world's leading advanced economies, in Bavaria’s Schloss Elmau hotel, outside Munich.

The G7 group comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
