MOSCOW, September 27 (RIA Novosti) – The Al-Nusra Front made a series of demands from the Lebanese authorities on Saturday; the Lebanese are negotiating conditions for the release of their captive troops, reports Al Arabiya News.

Around 30 Lebanese soldiers were captured last month while fighting in the town of Arsal near the Syrian border. The Islamic group has already killed three of their captives, the source informed.

Al-Nusra posted a video on YouTube, in which it accused Lebanese authorities of allowing Hezbollah to block negotiations for the release of the prisoners. Previously, Al-Nusra wanted Hezbollah to end its intervention in Syria where the group had backed President Bashar Assad in return for the release of the captive soldiers, AFP reported.

The government in Beirut has rejected the Al-Nusra demands, while Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has denied that his organization is attempting to block the efforts to free the captive soldiers.

The fighting near the town of Arsal, where the Lebanese soldiers had been captured, was the deadliest confrontation in Lebanon since the start of the Syrian conflict in the spring of 2011.
