An Iranian military airplane has crashed outside Tehran during an air show commemorating the outbreak of the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war, the official IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday.

MOSCOW, September 22 (RIA Novosti) - An Iranian military airplane has crashed outside Tehran during an air show commemorating the outbreak of the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war, the official IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday.

IRNA did not report on the type of aircraft or any casualties. The plane crashed on a farm.

The week-long festivities include military parades and air shows with jet fighters and helicopters. The air show includes U.S.-made fighters and bombers, as well as Russian-made MiG-29s and Sukhoi-24s. Iranian-made Saeqeh Thunderbolt aircraft, based on the U.S. F5-E Freedom Fighter, are also participating.
