TEHRAN, September 13 (RIA Novosti) - Tehran's nuclear program is being developed on the principle that everyone has the right to nuclear energy, the Iranian President told a news conference Tuesday ahead of his departure for the 60th session of the UN General Assembly.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that at the upcoming international forum, which will run in New York Sept. 14-16, Tehran was going to send a similar message to the international community, along with proposing new ways of solving the Iranian nuclear problem.

Ahmadinejad said his address to the session would also focus on current international problems, including the fight against terrorism, the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the observance of human rights.

Ahmadinejad said Iran advocated UN reform, adding that the organization should guard the interests of all nations, but not only the interests of one or several world powers.
