Russian, Indian, Chinese foreign ministers to meet in Delhi in November
The parties are convinced that further consultations on regional security at a level of high representatives of Russia, India and China are of key importance, the statement says.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh proposed broadening multilateral cooperation within the BRICS association of five major emerging economies in all its aspects, it says.
The parties support projects to set up a BRICS development bank and a pool of currency reserves of the BRICS member-states, the statement says.
India agreed to consider Russia's proposal for drafting a strategy of the BRICS members' multilateral economic cooperation.
Russia and India expressed their conviction that the upcoming BRICS summit in Brazil will further strengthen the role of this organization in the international arena.
