ROC concerned about desecration of Orthodox relics in Kosovo

The Russian Orthodox Church is concerned about the mass-scale desecration of Orthodox relics in Kosovo.

The St. Trinity church in the village Babljak was plundered in January, the church that extremists set fire to back in 1999.

Vandals destroyed more than a hundred Orthodox Serbian headstones throughout the region in less than 10 days.

A monument to Yugoslav antifascists, including some ethnic Albanians, who died in the Second World War, was pulled down in Kosovska Vitina.

The Russian Orthodox Church says it deplores the fact that the descendants of antifascists do not think it necessary to venerate the memory of those who shed their blood to contribute to the victory over the misanthropic ideology of fascism.
