“It hinges on the need to set up a compromise government acceptable to all conflicting sides to run the country during the transitional period leading up to elections,” emphasized the envoy.
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will be meeting today in Munich with US Vice President Joseph Biden and then with Lakhdar Brahimi to discuss the Syrian conflict.
