Kim Jong-un orders capitalist management techniques considered
North Korea’s new leader, Kim Jong-un, has ordered a nationwide discussion of likely economic reforms, including the consideration of capitalist management techniques.
The news is reported by Japan’s Mainichi newspaper with reference to statements by the North Korean leader. According to the periodical, Kim Jong-un demanded during a conference on January 28th that an improvement of the economic situation should be taken up in disregard for any bans.
According to him, North Korea’s basic economic problem is that management is not based on theory and/or computations. North Korea is facing major economic problems. According to foreign estimates, some 3 million North Koreans are on the verge of starvation.
