24 'old believers' settle in Primorye
Twenty four ‘old believers’ who moved to Primorye in Russia’s Far East from Bolivia last year have received Russian citizenship.
They are currently settling into their new homes in a small village on the border with China where they have been given land plots.
The Russian old believer community in Bolivia has a population of some 3,000 people, many of whom would be happy to return to their historical homeland.
The return had become possible due to the government’s program which encourages Russians living abroad to come back home.
