World condolences pour into Russia over airport blasts
Condolences are pouring in to Moscow from around the world in connection with the Domodedovo terrorist act.
US President Barack Obama is outraged over the cold-heartedness of this evil. He has expressed his support for the victims and his solidarity with the people of Russia. Obama’s statement was read out by the White House press secretary during a briefing.
The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek has condemned the crime. In a statement published in Brussels, he emphasized that terrorism and violence cannot be justified and expressed his sympathy for the people of Russia who have suffered from such inhumane acts on numerous occasions recently.
In her message to Dmitry Medvedev, German Chancellor Angela Merkel conveyed her sincere condolences for the loss of innocent lives as the result of a cowardly and barbaric act.
