The warning from Jacksepticeye comes as the gap between Pewdiepie’s and T-Series’ subscriber count is now less than 50,000, with the Indian channel well on its way to snatching Pewds’ crown.

Irish YouTube personality Sean William McLoughlin, better known online as Jacksepticeye, has issued a call to his fans, urging them to support legendary YouTuber Pewdiepie as he appears uncomfortably close to losing the mantle of the most subscribed YouTube channel to one of India’s movie studies and record labels, T-Series.

"This is just sad…. you can end this madness by subscribing to PewDiePie! TIME IS RUNNING OUT," McLoughlin tweeted, along with a link to Pewdiepie’s livestream.

Jacksepticeye’s message elicited a somewhat mixed reaction on social media, as netizens wait and see whether Pewdiepie will be dethroned or not.

At the time of this article’s writing, Pewdiepie’s channel boasts some 85,034,423 subscribers, compared to T-Series’ 84,988,242.

Earlier, Pewdiepie also received support from the world’s largest porn website, Pornhub, as adult performer Indigo White released a new NSFW video last week, encouraging her viewers to take a moment from what they are doing and subscribe to PewDiePie’s YouTube channel.

Pewds, as fans tenderly call him, has been involved in a 10-month-long battle with T-Series for the status as the most subscribed YouTube channel. Pewds has had the most subscribed channel since 2013, while T-Series saw a massive surge in its subscriber count last year due to India’s emerging online population.
