French President Emmanuel Macron's 2-year-old dog Nemo relieved itself on the gilded fireplace at the Elysee Palace in front of journalists, unaware that it was interrupting important negotiations between the president and the ministers.
The officials couldn't stop laughing over the incident with Macron saying that his pet had never behaved like that before and "was doing something quite exceptional."
The video capturing Nemo doing the deed on the antique fireplace has lit social media on fire.
Some Twitter users got really excited about the news.

However, others took the incident quite seriously and used it as a chance to criticize Macron and his policies.
It might be a canine political statement.

What's the need for him to do that, his father is already leaving mark of his wretched odour and stupidity there.

Macron and his wife took Nemo from an animal shelter in August 2017. They named the dog in honor of the main character of Jules Verne's novel "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea."
