Oldie but Goodie: Russian Vintage Vehicle Transformed Into Racing Supercar
18:00 GMT 03.11.2017 (Updated: 19:32 GMT 19.10.2022) Unlike the most race cars, this lightning-fast machine built by two enthusiasts Vasily Starostin and his friend Sergei Baikov from the Kostroma region looks like Russia’s legendary 1956 “Pobeda.” However, it only has the body of the Soviet car – the rest of it has undergone some significant changes.
The renewed "Pobeda," which means "victory" in Russian, has a 550-horsepower engine and can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. According to Vasily, it took four years to create the car.
