Russia’s first women-only beach was inaugurated on August 4 in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic.

The beach is located on shore of the "Grozny Sea" and covers an area of more than 5,000 square meters.

The beach area is surrounded with a three-meter fence. It features a restaurant, a first-aid post and a prayer room, which is located on the beach.

In late-June, the first city beach was opened in the Chechen capital. It was also part of the "Grozny Sea" project, an initiative aimed at turning the republic into a major Russian tourist center.
