MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday, Trump met with TV hosts and executives where, according to the New York Post sources, he called them "dishonest, deceitful liars." According to The New York Times, unlike the gathering with TV networks, his planned meeting with the newspaper's editors and reporters would be mostly on the record.
Last month, Trump threatened to sue the newspaper for libel over an article citing two women accusing him of unwanted advances.
I cancelled today's meeting with the failing @nytimes when the terms and conditions of the meeting were changed at the last moment. Not nice

Trump added that a new meeting with the newspaper could be set up later.
Perhaps a new meeting will be set up with the @nytimes. In the meantime they continue to cover me inaccurately and with a nasty tone!

Eileen M. Murphy, the senior vice president for communications at The New York Times, rejected the claim made by the US president-elect about the alleged change of terms by the newspaper.
“We were unaware that the meeting was canceled until we saw the president-elect’s tweet this morning. We did not change the ground rules at all and made no attempt to. They tried to yesterday — asking for only a private meeting and no on-the-record segment, which we refused to agree to,” she said as quoted by the media.
