WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — In a press conference on July 28, Trump suggested that if Russia carried out the recent hack of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) emails, it should also find 30,000 of Clinton’s emails missing from federal records.
"Mr. Trump’s apparent encouragement of a foreign cyberattack on presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, a US citizen and former Secretary of State, is dangerous and irresponsible," the senators said. "We ask that you conduct an oversight hearing to determine whether existing federal criminal statutes and federal court jurisdiction sufficiently address conduct related to foreign entities that could undermine our elections."
