PHILADELPHIA (Sputnik) — US presidential contender Bernie Sanders promised the continuation of the "political revolution" in the United States after the November presidential elections.
"Together, my friends, we have begun a political revolution to transform America and that revolution, our revolution, continues," Sanders told delegates at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Philadelphia.
Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton’s candidacy on July 12, but has not withdrawn from the presidential campaign.
He was considered an unlikely mainstream candidate, but drew major support from young voters, defeating Clinton in multiple state primary elections and caucuses in the spring.
