The attack which left two people dead and 17 injured outside a night club in Florida is not an act of terrorism, US police said.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The deadly shooting attack outside a night club in the US state of Florida is not an act of terrorism, the Fort Myers Police Department stated in a press release on Monday.

“The Fort Myers Police Department would like to confirm that this incident is not an act of terror (as it has been referred) or terrorism,” the release said.

At least two people were killed and up to 17 others injured in an armed attack in the parking lot of Club Blu in Fort Myers. Police detained three suspects in connection with the shooting.
