CLEVELAND (Sputnik) — The Republican convention attracted more than 50,000 participants and guests to the city of Cleveland for the week-long convention where Donald Trump received the party’s nomination to compete for the White House in November.
“The State Department has a tradition, every four years they bring ambassadors to both conventions,” Suleymanov said.
Asked to comment on the Republican Party’s official nomination of Donald Trump, Suleymanov noted that “it is nothing unexpected.” He said he plans to attend the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
