"Now this possibility is not considered at all," Kozlov stated.
Earlier on Monday, a US Court ruled to release Pimanova from house arrest and to remove the bracelet she was wearing. Pimanova is, however, not allowed to leave the United States as per the court's ruling.
Kozlov noted that the main judge was not present at Monday’s hearing because of illness, and added that they are now awaiting the next court hearing, which will take place when the main judge recovers.
"We insist that the decision of the court, unlawful in our opinion and made during her absence when she was in Russia, to be canceled. She was detained based on that court’s ruling when crossing the border," Kozlov stated. "So, if this decision is overturned, then Olga can definitely leave the United States. If not, it’s hard to predict future development as the main claim of her ex-husband is the return of her daughter from Russia to the United States."
Pimanova's ex-husband claimed that Olga had taken their daughter out of the United States without his consent, which might be considered a case of kidnapping under the law. However, Pimanova claims she is legally a single mother.
Pimanova's daughter was born in Russia and has Russian citizenship, Russian Children's Ombudsman Pavel Astakhov said, adding that her return to Russia was conducted legally.
