US incumbent President Barack Obama made a joke that Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton will replace him as a next President of the United States.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama made a joke that Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton would be the next president of the country.

"Next year at this time, someone else will be standing here in this very spot — and it’s anyone’s guess who she will be," Obama said in a speech at his last White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

Obama also teased Clinton for her attempts to connect with young voters.

"You’ve got to admit it though, Hillary trying to appeal to young voters is a little bit like your relative that just signed up for Facebook… ‘Dear America, did you get my poke? Is it appearing on your wall? I’m not sure I’m using this right. Love, Aunt Hillary,’" Obama joked.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is a traditional event taking place since 1920. It is usually attended by presidents, vice presidents, journalists covering the White House, actors and comedians, as well as other high-profile individuals.

The next presidential election in the United States will take place on November 8. Hillary Clinton, a former State Secretary, is the expected candidate from the Democratic Party.
