L-3 Communications Wins $200Mln US Air Force Warfighter Readiness Contract

The L-3 Communications Corporation has won a $200.3 million contract to upgrade US Air Force training and infrastructure to boost levels of readiness, the US Department of Defense announced.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Work on the contract will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the US state of Ohio, and is expected to be completed by January 31, 2023, the announcement added.

"L-3 Communications Corp., Link Simulation & Training Div., Arlington, Texas, has been awarded a $200,337,000… contract for warfighter readiness and training research," the announcement stated on Thursday.

The company will provide research, development, evaluation and validation of training approaches over a period of seven years, the Defense Department noted.
